Good morning Southland Family,

I am thrilled to share some incredible news from this past weekend!

On Sunday, December 7th, our Lady Eagles Competitive Dance Team earned 1st PLACE at the 2025 NDA (National Dance Alliance) Midwest Regional Championship in St. John, IN!


This is a major accomplishment for our dancers and coaching staff, especially as Competitive Dance is still a new and rapidly rising program here at Southland. Their dedication, discipline, and passion continue to elevate our school’s athletic and performing arts excellence.

I would like to especially congratulate Coach Chatman and Coach Songu-Phillips for their tremendous leadership, hard work, and commitment to building a championship-caliber program. Your vision and devotion to our students are truly paying off!

You will be able to view their 1st Place plaque in the Athletic Display Case, and their championship banner is now proudly hanging outside the Dance Classroom for everyone to see. Make sure to stop by and celebrate their amazing achievement!
