Autism Awareness Month & Fundraiser
Dear Parents and Students,
We are excited to celebrate Autism Awareness Month as a school community by raising awareness, showing support, and giving back in a meaningful way. This month, we will raise funds to donate to Autism Speaks in honor of individuals with autism and the many strengths, gifts, and perspectives they bring to our world.
Students will have the opportunity to purchase a $5 Autism Awareness pin during their lunch periods. Students who purchase a pin may also participate in our special dress in a blue top on April 17 and April 24. Please note that students must purchase a pin in order to participate in blue shirt Fridays.
In addition, we are excited to share that we will also participate in the Autism Walk in Chicago at Rate Field (White Sox Stadium) on May 2, 2026. We would love for families and students to join us for this special event as we come together to support awareness, acceptance, and advocacy.
Autism Awareness Month is a time to celebrate differences, promote understanding, and stand together in support of inclusion for all. We hope you will join us in making this month inspiring, meaningful, and full of school spirit.
Please let me know if you would like to join us for the Autism Walk!
Thank you for your support as we work together to make a difference!
